BREAKING NEWS: AUSA International Students' Officer Resigns
At 5:13pm on Friday 16th May, AUSA put out a post on their Instagram page announcing that their International Students' Officer Hisham Haq has resigned.

At 5:13pm on Friday 16th May, Auckland University Students' Association (AUSA) put out a post on their Instagram page announcing that their International Students' Officer Hisham Haq has resigned.
The post details that his resignation will be effective from June 6th, and that his reason for resignation is focusing on preparing for life after his graduation at the end of this semester.
AUSA also references a section from their constitution, which states that should a vacancy within the association open up less than six months before the term of an appointed executive ends, another member of the association can take their position, given that they are eligible.
This begs the question on how this change will affect the student body, and any international students seeking support in the interim period?
Craccum eagerly awaits to see who will be chosen by AUSA to become the new International Students' Officer, and we will be following this situation closely.
Updates to this story will be posted when more details are announced.
