Attending BIBI's first world tour felt like a fever dream.

A crystal clear voice that carries charm. Safe to say that she captured everyone's hearts within moments of entering the stage.

To say that she's an underrated artiste would be a disservice to her hits: "BIBI Vengeance", "The Weekend", and of course, "Scott and Zelda", to name a few. "Scott and Zelda" took the internet by storm with the recent TikTok trend of singing along to a seemingly innocent song about romance - that is until you read the translation. Set in a bookstore, BIBI sings about her crush, who she's sneaking glances at through bookshelves. Comparing herself to Jane Austen and the likes, the premise marks an innocent infatuation. Until the chorus where her true intentions are revealed like an open book, strategically lacing innuendo between its pages. Rebirth: EVE-1

Just when you thought that she took you by surprise with her cheeky comments and whimsical nature, she transformed. Running offstage for an outfit change, the audience are entertained by what can only be described as a cinematic interlude.

The film depicts BIBI as EVE, a fictional famous singer from the 80s, who, consumed by depression, commits suicide. Honestly, this was quite distressing to watch, perhaps a trigger warning was due.

Despite this, BIBI's creative storytelling takes the forefront as she suspensefully introduces EVE-1 - who looks shockingly similar to EVE. But somehow entirely different: chaotic, easily provoked, and a general distaste towards EVE would sum it up. The turning point was when EVE-1 is forced to watch EVE's performances and is confronted that she is not separate from this person but rather EVE reborn.

EVE-1 becomes insane, desperate to show herself that she is not EVE but her own person. This marks a shift in the concert's repertoire and my favourite song, "BIBI Vengeance" begins to play.

BIBI showed us that she's not just a masterful seductress but also a complex, multifaceted human being. In between songs, BIBI inserted anecdotes about her rise to fame in South Korea as well as her love for Chicken Tikka Masala. Along the way, she also began to talk about life and death. Although the songs' themes are consistent in her desire for love and romance, she shows us that death is inevitable which makes love all the more romantic.
