It is now the final round of our people's choice tournament. 44 of the 46 submitted themes have been eliminated. A record number of 80 voters decided these would be the two finalists for the theme of Craccum Issue #8:
The Forbidden Edition vs. History Edition
Theme Tournament Commentary:
Despite being knocked out weeks ago in Round 1, in true underdog fashion, History Edition dusted itself off, fought hard to win the 1st Loser Brackets and survived to make it into the finals, ratioing 2nd Loser Brackets Winner Dating & Love Edition 76.3% to 23.7%. In Craccum's 98th year, there is a rich history of student culture at the University of Auckland | Waipapa Taumata Rau to uncover.

Its taboo opponent, The Forbidden Edition, is formidable and has risen to the finals without much opposition, brushing aside Tāmaki Makaurau Edition, Dating & Love Edition, as well as the spicy tea trio The Hot Takes Edition, Slander Edition and Secrets Edition (60% vs. 40%). We have no idea what the contributors are cooking with this theme, but if Issue #8 turns out to be The Forbidden Edition, Craccum better give its lawyers a raise, or our April Fools' Joke might come true.
