The people's choice tournament has now reached its quarter-finals stage, with a record-breaking 69 votes cast in Round 3, booting 6 more themes into the 2nd Loser Brackets, which we will pick up tomorrow. Which themes will advance to the semi-finals? You vote, you decide!
Theme Tournament Commentary:
As the tournament passes its halfway point, the collective vision our readers and contributors have for Issue #8 begins to come into focus. Round 3's battles were much more decisive, with the closest battle being between Travel Edition (53.6%) and Myths & Mystics Edition (46.4%), being decided by a margin of 5 votes, which is wide compared to previous rounds.
Jungle Edition (8.7%) got deforested by History Edition (91.3%).
Interestingly, several similar edgy/spicy themes have advanced unopposed in the tournament: Slander Edition, The Forbidden Edition and Secrets Edition. With the 2nd Loser Brackets starting tomorrow, the fourth theme on these lines, The Hot Takes Edition, may be able to make a return too. Will Craccum be able to survive Issue #8 without being sued? (We should start a "days without legal action" counter.)
