Issue #8 People's Choice | Vote Now for 1st Loser Bracket (Round 1)

Decide which themes will survive another day in the 1st Loser Bracket (Round 1)!

Following up from Monday's announcement that the voting tournament had begun for Issue #8 of Craccum 2025 (People's Choice), 23 of the original 46 proposed themes were voted out of the main tournament and knocked into the 1st loser bracket.

Theme Tournament Commentary:

All up, 64 participants voted, and some of the results from yesterday's poll were interesting!

The biggest loser was Portugal Edition (17.2%), which was absolutely ratioed Scouting Edition (82.8%) which advanced to the second round. Apologies to any Portuguese UOA students out there! We love you! In a bizarre coincidence (since the match-ups were randomised), the 16th World Scout Moot is being held in Portugal next month for scouts over the age of 18 (called Rovers in New Zealand). Maybe there is still hope for Portugal-based content making its way into a potential Scouting Edition of Craccum?!

Three match-ups were tied for the closest fought battle at 53.1%, winning over 46.9%:

Jungle Edition (53.1%) vs. Anime Edition (46.9%)

Slander Edition (53.1%) vs. History Edition (46.9%)

Environment Edition (53.1%) vs. Parents Edition (46.9%)

Based on their hard-fought battles, I would watch how Anime, History and Parents perform in the upcoming 1st Loser Brackets tournament; they may have a shot at redemption!

Still, it is far too early in the tournament to call what Issue #8's theme will end up being. Is anyone making bets?
