He’s a PhD student, a stand-up comedian, and once tried to flirt by doing open mic. Now he’s up for a Billy T Award and performing at the NZ International Comedy Festival. PhD student by day, stand-up comic by night - Itay Dom is one of us. Literally. He’s currently deep in the trenches of a doctorate in electrical engineering, researching how speech reflects emotion in people with Parkinson’s. When he’s not writing up his lit review, he’s writing punchlines.
Now, this Billy T Award-nominated comedian is bringing his festival show ‘Itay Phone Home’ to The Classic Comedy Club - and you can catch it for cheap with a student discount.

A sharp, hilarious hour about identity, awkward attempts at romance, and the questionable life choices that led him to do stand-up in the first place (spoiler: it involved trying to impress a girl).
